Are PowerSheets a planner?

One of the most common questions we receive is whether your PowerSheets® Goal Planner can be used as a daily planner. It's a great question, and the answer has changed over the years! Today, we're breaking down who might be able to use their PowerSheets as their sole planner, and who might want to combine it with an additional, more traditional planner. And, what about Fresh Start™?!

First, though, you should know that your PowerSheets were created first and foremost as an intentional goal plannernot a daily agenda. They walk you through a three-step proven process to uncover the right life goals and short-term goals, then move into 12 months of goal-setting worksheets to make your goals a reality—and it's all based on research! There's expert goal coaching on every page, too, to keep you motivated and on track.

Your PowerSheets help you determine what to put in your planner—and what not to put in it—by uncovering your unique priorities through the thoughtful questions in your Prep Work and monthly pages. What you uncover in your PowerSheets helps you organize your time and spend it on the right things!

We created PowerSheets to work for any women, in any season of life, and they are flexible enough to work alongside the daily schedule system of your choice.

But back to our question—are PowerSheets a planner? Let's break it down...

Fresh Start Daily Goal Planner open to a daily planner spread

You may be able to use One-Year PowerSheets as your only planner if:

  • You already use a monthly planner. Congratulations! You now have an all-in-one option! :)
  • You primarily use a digital calendar for hour-by-hour appointments, and just like to jot down a few big events for each day in a physical planner. Your monthly calendar spreads will work great for this!
  • You're in a season of life where you only have a few events to write down each day—for example, if you're at home with really young kids or are a retiree.

You may want to pair your One-Year PowerSheets with an additional agenda if:

  • You do NOT use a digital calendar and need somewhere to record hourly appointments or many events each day (like multiple kids' sports schedules).
  • You use your planner's daily layout for other things besides appointments, like meal planning or daily to dos. Your monthly calendar spread likely won't have enough room to include all of that.

If this sounds like you, we think you'll love the Season by Season® planner! Monday through Sunday, enjoy an hourly layout, space for your to-do list, top priorities, habit tracking, and—best of all!—a small nudge to tend to what matters in your PowerSheets every week.

Whether or not you choose to use a planner in addition to your One-Year PowerSheets, you'll find the monthly calendar pages the perfect space to plot out your action steps for the month as you plan your progress and live out your priorities. They'll help you connect your goals with everyday life, and soon, you'll watch as your steps add up! The PowerSheets community has come up with so many creative ways to use these spreads!

Is Fresh Start™ a planner?

Let's say you use and love PowerSheets, and you've decided you do need an agenda or planner for hourly appointments. You don't, however, love the idea of carrying around two separate planners. Friend, Fresh Start is for you!

Fresh Start, the newest addition to the PowerSheets family, combines everything you love about the PowerSheets goal planner (thoughtful Prep Work, impactful Tending Lists) with everything you love about the Season by Season planner (hourly appointment slots, space for marking to-do's and the day's win). With the Fresh Start daily goal planner, you can prioritize what matters and live it out all in one beautiful place. Yes!

We'd love to hear: Do you use a daily or weekly agenda in addition to your PowerSheets? Or are you one of the many Cultivators who have switched over to Fresh Start?
