How to Give Gifts That Last + Cultivate Gift Guide

A little intentional forethought goes a long way!

If you hang around our office for any period of time, you'll likely hear us say this phrase. Why? We're firm believers that little by little progress adds up because we've seen countless women experience it while using the PowerSheets Goal Planner.

The same goes for gift giving: a little intentional forethought is all it takes to give gifts that last this holiday season.

Gifts she'll actually use.

Gifts at every price point.

Gifts that will bring delight and refreshment.

Gifts that will encourage her all year long.

That might sound like a tall task, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are a few of our favorite tips on how to give gifts that last:

  • Opt for memories and experiences over items. Gift cards can sometimes get a bad rap, but I think it's time to flip the script! A gift card to a new restaurant for a date night or a membership to the local children's museum has the potential to create lasting memories, and it won't take up any room on a shelf!
  • Research shops that support a charitable cause! Whether it’s investing a portion of their sales each month in a single non-profit, empowering workers by paying a living wage, or allowing their employees to devote a portion of their working hours to serving the community, find businesses that make this a priority and invest in their products or services. Did you know that every purchase in the Cultivate Shop helps plant a garden?
  • Keep a running list of ideas. I jot down gift ideas throughout the year when someone drops a hint or makes an offhand comment about something they love in the Notes app on my phone. It takes a little while to get in this habit, but it's worth it because you'll never approach another birthday or holiday without ideas!
  • Shop local and small. Get to know the business owners in your community (both locally and online) and buy from them. These teams have poured their hearts into their trade, and they’d love to have your business and support. If you aren’t able to buy from them, get to know their businesses and become brand evangelists for them!

Our mission at Cultivate What Matters is to encourage women to cultivate what matters, right where they are. Each product we create is intended to do just that, and we’ve seen firsthand how they’ve made a difference in not just our lives, but the lives of women across the world. Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite gifts that last to give from the Cultivate Shop and kicking off our best sale of the year!
