How to Set Goals as a Christian
We intentionally made our signature product, the PowerSheets® Goal Planner, accessible and relevant for every woman, regardless of her faith background. We're grateful that this powerful tool is used by Christians and non-Christians alike, as well as friends of many other faith backgrounds!
However, many of you do share the Christian faith of our founder, Lara, and from the beginning, we have fielded tons of questions at the intersection of God and goal setting:
- Is it okay to set goals as a Christian?
- How do I know if a goal is from God or myself?
- What do Christian goals look like, anyway?
- How do I make my goals happen and not overstep God's will?
- What if I don't follow through?
We've tried to answer those questions in a variety of ways throughout the years (and will have more resources coming in our soon-to-be-launched podcast!!), but we've never had a central spot to address this super-interesting and important topic.
Which is why we're thrilled to have had the chance to collaborate with our friends at YouVersion on a brand-new five-day Bible reading plan, just in time for the new year!
In this plan, written by Lara, you'll dig into the Word and find clarity and direction on setting grace-fueled goals. Each of the five days of the plan includes selected scripture, prayer prompts, and Lara's wisdom and encouragement.
On a personal note, I have worked with Lara for almost ten years, and this is one of the projects I've seen her most excited about. She put her heart and soul into writing it (as she does every project!), and we couldn't think of a better complement to the PowerSheets for our Christian friends.
Go explore it now, and share it with a friend, too!One of our favorite parts of the YouVersion app is how you can walk through plans with your friends! We can't wait to hear what you think!
