OVERVIEW
As the Social Media Intern, you’ll be working alongside the Cultivate What Matters team to execute campaigns, encourage our community, and provide resources to help women cultivate what matters most in their lives. You’ll be a master of the details, and help us execute new social initiatives and campaigns to better serve our community. Plus, you’ll work alongside a small and mighty team passionate about helping women do the things that matter most, and who love to have fun along the way!
This internship opportunity is open to both local (Chapel Hill, NC) and remote candidates, and requires an availability of 10-15 hours per week. This internship is paid hourly, or we are happy to work with you to receive college credit for it!
RESPONSIBILITIES

Help monitor and maintain Cultivate What Matters Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts

Maintain weekly and monthly social media KPI reports

Perform routine account optimization
-
Identify and research new opportunities to optimize social accounts and engagement

Assist with content brainstorming and creation
-
Prepare and organize creatives for social campaigns

Draft posts and creative direction
-
Basic graphic design and video conceptualization and creation
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar degree field. Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student.

Knowledge of social media platforms, including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Youtube, and LinkedIn

Self-starter with a drive to bring new ideas to life

Highly organized and detail-oriented
-
Passionate about connecting with a community online
Bonus: Experience with softwares like Planoly, Tailwind, Asana, Dropbox, and Sprout Social
