Each December, our team works through a set of company PowerSheets® to help us navigate a new year. Every team member has a voice, answering each question and prompt, including offering suggestions for goals, starting steps, and ideas for our word of the year.
Our past company words of the year have gone on to shape our thoughts and actions for a full 12 months, so we take choosing one seriously! And once chosen, we don't just set our word and forget it—we remind each other of it during meetings, display it in our office, and consider it while doing each month's PowerSheets Prep Work. Judging by the chatter in the Facebook group, many of you feel the same way!
As we gathered around the table this year, we considered several options, including foundation, hope, margin, forward, refine, and elevate. In the end, though, we chose a word with a lot of heart: TOGETHER.
In 2020, our focus is on weaving ourselves tightly together as a group of teammates and friends, amplifying each other's gifts and strengths so that we can turn outward with generosity, creativity, energy, and love. We are a small team that's added several new members over the last few months, and we know we'll do our best work for you when we're all working together effectively for a shared clear purpose. 
We were inspired in part by the description of the body in scripture: there is one body, it says in 1 Corinthians, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ... In that way, the parts of the body will not take sides. All of them will take care of one another. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy. You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.
Together we win, together we lose, together we impact, together we grow. Together means we're never alone. And when you're a part of our community, you're never alone, either! Together, it's going to be a great year :)
