October Goals Round-Up

October Goals Round-Up

It’s officially October, and I can’t think of a better month to start getting to know you all! Thank you so much for the warm welcome to the team this week. I’m thrilled to be able to take a more active role in encouraging you in your little by little progress on what matters most! I also love seeing your PowerSheets Tending Lists. They are so full of good ideas I may have to borrow for my own!

I feel the same way as Anne of Green Gables when she says, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” -L.M. Montgomery. Bring on the cooler air, crunchy leaves, and football tailgating with hot cider! This month begins the last quarter of the year, which is all about savoring the season and holidays with loved ones.

For many of us, that also means October is the time to look ahead and prepare well by making a bit of progress on holiday preparations. Victoria reminded me to get a head start on a few things this month, like Christmas cards and gift shopping. I know that progress will allow me to enjoy the festivities of November and December all the more!

Speaking of savoring the season…if you’ve been around for a while, you know October means it’s time for Emily’s annual fall pumpkins and soup party! We are also gearing up for our fourth-annual Halloween party, and I can’t wait!

We love that in an especially busy month of events and social engagements, instead of letting date night go, Amanda put it at the top of her priorities!

Rachel’s daily goal not to check her phone in the morning is such an important reminder! I know I’ve had my Bible study time derailed by social media more than once, and it’s a habit worth breaking.

Mary set a wonderful example of focusing on progress, not perfection by embracing grace about the things she wasn’t able to check off in September! She decided to look at her September progress as a launching point and to take on little less in October. Amen!

Are you still just struggling to get your October goals on paper? Diana has five brilliant tips for making your monthly goal-setting time happen. It’s so important to just give yourself the gift of a few uninterrupted minutes a month to get all the to-dos out of your head and prioritized on paper!

If you’ve posted your goals somewhere, we’d love to see them! Feel free to drop them in the comments, too – no fancy blog required! We can’t wait to take a peek into what this month holds and cheer you on!

Not a PowerSheets user? That’s okay, too! You don’t need PowerSheets to set intentional goals. Although, our 2018 PowerSheets launch on October 25th, and we think they’d be a handy tool!

Remember, keep sharing your goals with us each month so that we can cheer you on! Whether you’re posting in our PowerSheets Facebook Group, leaving us a comment on social media, or using the #PowerSheets hashtag, we love seeing what you are working towards each month!
