Best money spent in 2021

I was already a HUGE fan of the Write the Word journals and this was perfect for Advent. The journal helps you slow down and focus on what the season is really about and just carve out time to be with our Father. I love the format of focusing on gratitude first and then going back to see how He answered the prayers on my heart is cool.

Blessing!

I was dreading the emotional rollercoaster I figured I would happen this season. This would be the first Christmas without my daughter. I ordered this Advent Journal to help keep my mind on the Glory of the God and the gift He gave us - not just on my personal loss. I spent the each morning focusing on the verses and what it meant in the context of the chapter in the Bible. Then I used to pages to write to God. Even though I didn't put up Christmas decorations or celebrate the 'normal' way I have done in the past, I felt God this Advent season. The verses chosen gave me hope. God is GREAT and He loves us. Thank you "Cultivate" for putting together this journal. It gave me a way to spend time daily with the Lord, focusing on what truly mattered.

This has been my favorite Advent devotional

Other Advent specific devotionals have been overly complicated for me - this one is simple and perfect for me as a new mom this holiday season! I've been loving the scripture chosen, and it's been a beautiful way for me to center myself on the anticipation of Jesus being born!!

Enjoyed it, but have some suggestions.

The journal is beautiful and I love the concept! Getting into the Word every day, writing out what I'm thankful for, and having space to journal was great :) Some suggestions:

-Traditionally I have always seen the 4 Sundays in Advent go in order of: Hope, Peace, Joy, Love. This journal had Love and Joy reversed, so I just filled in the journal in the order I usually celebrate in- but it would be nice if they were switched!

-Some of the "extra" pages with the verse blown up and the journal prompt question seemed to be misplaced (out of order). Could be a printing error, or possibly that I got confused about the order! But it seemed like some of the pages were arranged out of order.

The book itself was beautiful though, and I really enjoyed using it this year! :)
