Quarterly Reading Picks from Team Cultivate

Quarterly Reading Picks from Team Cultivate

by: Emily Thomas

Team Cultivatejust like the CWM communityis a group of gals in all different life stages, with different interests and goals and family structures. One of the things we have in common? We love to read, and we believe reading can help us build (and live!) meaningful, joyful lives. Here are a few of the books our team read and enjoyed in the first quarter of 2022. We hope you'll find something to add to your own TBR list!

For many more reading picks, check out our list of what to read in 2022!

Live No Lies by John Mark Comer | This is such a timely book for our current culture. It reminded me of the importance of protecting my mind and taking control of my thought patterns, and I loved that it was filled with bite-size, practical tips I could put into practice right away. — Abbie

Find Your People by Jennie Allen | If you're looking for an easy read that packs a punch, this is it! In her newest book, Jennie tackles a subject I think we can all relate to— the intense loneliness and isolation many of us experience — and offers actionable advice and vulnerable stories to build true community right where you are. — Courtney

The Road Back To You by Ian Cron and Suzanne Stabile | My siblings and parents were reading this, so I followed along! I enjoyed learning more about the Enneagram to better love, understand, and relate to my people. — Abbie

The Power of Fun by Catherine Brown | From the author of How to Break Up With Your Phone, this book first dives into a definition of "True Fun" (activities involving play, connection, AND flow) and then spends more than half the book detailing strategies to have more of it. In a world that often values productivity and efficiency over all, and where we're often satisfied with "fake fun" (a.k.a. scrolling on our phones, alone), I'm a fan of anything that helps people connect and live more meaningful lives. — Emily

Love Your Life Not Theirs by Rachel Cruze | Rachel goes right at the root of what plagues many of us with our finances: comparing our situation to that of the people around us. I loved her practical tips for spending money in line with our family's values and what actually matters to us. — Diana

We'd love to hear: what have you read and loved so far this year?
